Can the Excess be reduced or limited in any way?
Yes it can be. Most car rental companies carry an Excess which the renter has to abide by. Subsequently, we provide 2 options for you: 1. You may purchase Optional Excess Insurance when you book online with us at www.misterhire.com, only available at selected locations around the world. This is by all means an optional Insurance and shall provide you the benefit of avoiding ALL Excess Charges. The charge applicable to your booking can be seen in the Optional Insurance Box, after the “BOOK” button (Step 2 of our Booking Process) is pressed. Then as you have proceeded to step 3, (the final step in our Booking process), this page is for personal details completion and making a payment. If there is a claim to be made, typically the first Euro 1,000 or so, is usually payable by the Hirer. The Excess Insurance we offer Onsite (in specific locations ONLY), provides you with complete peace of mind at -comparably- just a small extra amount per day. Our Online policy offered, will cover up to Euro 2,300 of any excess; it can be used on any vehicle type and in cases where we cannot confirm the requested vehicle, it can used with any rental company so you won't lose out for the extra amount spent. Please also do bear in mind, that our Onsite Excess Insurance is billed separately on your credit card statement and is Non-refundable. 2. Alternatively, upon collection of your vehicle, the excess or deductible can be reduced by purchasing the Car Rental company’s Excess Insurance Cover (referred to also as Super CDW, which is sold (upon customer’s request) over the counter, just about when you are to collect your vehicle. This is non refundable and often does not include damage to the undercarriage, oil sump, windows, or tire damage.
